Willow Farm Training Staff at Willow Farm undergo regular training sessions, pertinent to their job role. In the Riding School, staff are given riding lessons daily and have lectures one morning per week. They are also continuously trained 'on the job'. This offers an alternative training scheme to Equine College. We train our staff to take both British Horse Society examinations and NVQ. The NVQ assessment is offered through KEITS, who are also working with senior staff on NVQs in Management. We believe that it is important and rewarding to learn every aspect about our industry, we aim to support our staff in becoming skilled professionals and we are very strict about horse care standards, safety policies and customer service. Whilst ensuring our horses are well looked after, we also ensure that our staff fell knowledgeable and qualified to carry out the duties that they are responsible for. We operate a training scheme employing apprentices, pay rates depend on previous ability and the level of training required daily. We are an equal opportunities employer and we also offer other benefits to staff on completion of their probationary period (staff discount in the ship and the possibility of reduced livery rates). Customers are welcome and encouraged to take their BHS examinations, we have horses suitable for levels I to III and would be happy to discuss your needs. We hope to expand our training scheme to include local schools and colleges in the near future.
